Kelli Martin

PRINCIPAL SOLICITOR
Kelli Martin is a talented and respected solicitor, business leader and social justice advocate. She has worked predominantly in family and criminal law after being admitted as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia in 2008. Kelli founded KLM Solicitors in 2015 with a vision for a contemporary, client-focused law firm. She also Chairs the not-for-profit Red Rose Foundation and actively works to end domestic and family violence. Kelli and her team regularly undertake community legal work, including Legal Aid. In 2020 she was named Partner of the Year - SME at Lawyers Weekly’s Women in Law Awards and also won the ‘Business Achiever’ Award in the Greater Brisbane Women in Business Awards. Outside of her enormously rewarding and busy work life, Kelli raises her two young children.

Shaun Kolo
Senior Associate
Having grown up on Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, Shaun will always be a country boy at heart, with a passion for justice. He has a Bachelor of Laws from Bond University and was admitted in 2014 as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. Shaun honed his legal skills working in the major south-east Queensland regional cities of Ipswich and Toowoomba, mainly in family law, domestic violence matters, child protection and criminal law.
Jane Bruxner
Senior Associate
With a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Media and Communications from QUT, Jane was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2017. An accredited Children’s and Adult Duty Lawyer in the Brisbane Magistrates Court, Jane is passionate about helping those that require extra assistance due to mental health, social or economic factors and volunteers tutoring refugee families with the VoRTECS program. Jane loves the beach, mountain climbing and anything outdoors.
Rachel Stuart
Associate
Rachel graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and joined the KLM family law team in January 2020. Rachel’s empathy, sensitivity and down to earth personality means she supports her clients every step of the way through one of their most challenging times. Outside of the office, Rachel loves the beach and anything outdoors and frequents dog friendly cafes with her rescue puppy.
Sam Hollis
Associate
Sam started at KLM in 2016 working in family, criminal and domestic violence matters. Sam enjoys football, cooking and adding stamps to his passport - having toured through Southeast Asia on a motorbike. Having graduated university with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Psychology, Sam uses his skills and experience to help clients through times of intense emotional stress and need. Sam is passionate and motivated to achieve the best results for his clients with a strong sense of empathy and rapport.
PHOEBE COURTNEY
Associate
Phoebe joins the KLM family after having worked on both the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane, practicing exclusively in family law since her admission in August 2017.  Phoebe is appreciated for her friendly and relatable demeanour, while always ensuring her clients' interests are prioritised.  She is currently building her dream house, which occupies most of her personal time, and is keen to adopt a fur baby as soon as the build is complete.  Phoebe attempts rock climbing, both indoor and outdoor, but admits she does not do it often enough!
Ellen Anderson

Specialising in family law, Ellen believes one of the great advantages of working in the legal industry is the opportunity to affect societal change. She thrives on the pressure of the courtroom and the intellectual challenges it presents every day. She and her husband enjoy traveling, visiting friends and family and doing anything outdoors including camping, fishing and mountain biking.
Stephanie Tsimos
Solicitor
Steph thrives off the challenge of working across family, criminal and domestic violence matters. She holds a Bachelor in Business (Public Relations) and a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology and has a transparent, sensitive and understanding approach to the law. With family throughout Australia and overseas, Steph has the perfect excuse to indulge in her passion for travelling.
Natashia Blank
Solicitor
Natashia has been with the KLM team since 2018 working in primarily on criminal and domestic violence matters. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of the Sunshine Coast and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2020. Natashia enjoys the fast paced atmosphere at KLM and is focused on delivering the best possible result for her clients. In her spare time, Natashia practices yoga and enjoys weekends in the garden and at the beach with her family.
RHYS FOSTER
Solicitor
Rhys is an experienced criminal defence lawyer who has practised regularly in some of Queensland’s most challenging jurisdictions. He is a passionate and determined advocate who thrives in the high pressure courtroom environment and always puts his clients first. In his spare time Rhys enjoys playing his guitar and spending time with family and friends.
Sacha Mackness
Solicitor
Sacha has a unique ability to work in high stress environments, a trait she brings with her from a background in the Australian Defence Force. Her passion is to give voice to the vulnerable members our community who are more likely to find themselves lost in our legal system. With valuable experience in criminal and family law matters and an ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders, Sacha establishes excellent working relationships and goes above and beyond to achieve the best outcome for her clients.
Olivia Ledger
Law Clerk
Olivia has worked in the legal industry for over 7 years as part of a busy criminal law practice and is currently completing her Bachelor of Laws degree. Olivia has extensive criminal law experience including domestic violence and traffic matters. Olivia thrives on a fast paced work environment and is a valued member of the KLM team. When not at work, she loves exercise, travel and spending time with family and friends.
Sam Dymock
Law Clerk
Sam is working in the Nundah Office assisting both our criminal and family law teams. Sam is in his last two years of a Business (Finance) & Law degree at Queensland University of Technology. Sam enjoys rugby and fitness in his spare time and is excited at the prospect of gaining experience and supporting KLM Clients.
Rebecca Gregory
Law Clerk
Rebecca (Bec) is currently completing her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Criminology and Justice degrees. Bec joined the KLM team in late 2019 assisting in family law, domestic violence and child protection matters. Outside of work Bec enjoys true crime podcasts, 90’s sitcoms and spending time with her two kitten fur babies.
Rebecca Richardson
Law Clerk
After living abroad in London and Spain, Rebecca is new to the Legal industry from a Teaching background of 6 years. She enjoys travelling, completing solo adventures through 48 countries across the world. Rebecca is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws and also has an interest in pursuing a career in the criminal and family law fields. When she is not at work, Rebecca can be found binge watching crime dramas, or catching up on the latest entertainment gossip.
Mia Hoy

Mia joined the KLM Team as a Law Clerk in November 2020 and is currently completing her Bachelor of Laws degree at QUT. Mia is passionate about criminal law and takes enormous pride in helping her clients get back on their feet. She thrives in a fast-paced working environment and holds teamwork as one of her core values. Outside of work Mia enjoys attending live music gigs with her friends and participating in social sports at university. Mia is looking forward to progressing with KLM Solicitors and further expanding her knowledge and skills in the legal field.

Timothy is currently studying a dual degree in Law and Accounting at the Queensland University of Technology. Tahlia Davis

Tahlia has recently moved from Newcastle NSW. She has completed a Diploma of Justice Studies and is currently studying a Bachelor of Criminology. Tahlia enjoys the Queensland sunshine with her partner and their sausage dog Chavo. Her favourite place is Manhattan in New York City because of it’s hype and fast paced lifestyle.
Morgan O'Rourke

Dedicated, supportive and approachable, Morgan is committed to his role as a Law Clerk at KLM Solicitors. He is motivated to make an impact in his work by assisting clients to resolve their legal matters. His previous positions in various client-facing roles have provided him with extensive experience in managing client expectations. Morgan is an integral part of KLM Solicitors, a team of like-minded legal professionals with similar goals. He works predominantly in Family Law at our Maroochydore Office.

New to the Legal industry, Tanya brings more than 20 years’ of experience in all aspects office administration to the team. On weekends she enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping (well glamping) and cooking.

PA to the Managing Partner
Emilia was born in Greece and moved to Australia at the age of 5. She has a Cert IV and diploma in Crime and Justice and is excited about using her experience and knowledge in the fast paced environment at KLM Solicitors.
Ella Salisbury
Legal Assistant
Born in the UK, Ella moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2008. Ella has extensive experience in the corporate sector and has worked in the areas of insurance and telecommunications. Ella has completed courses in information technology, retail and make up. In her spare time Ella enjoys personal styling and going to the beach with her partner and their British bulldog, Winston. You will find Ella at our Maroochydore office in the role of Legal Assistant
Brooke Janssen
Legal Assistant
Open-minded, friendly and supportive, Brooke always has her clients’ best interest at heart. Her valuable experience in administration roles for more than three years has equipped her with the skills to handle high-pressure and difficult situations. Brooke is currently studying a Bachelor of Law and is based at our Brisbane CBD Office. She hopes to one day become a solicitor as part of the KLM team and work to make life better for those impacted by domestic violence situations.
Nicole Applewaite

Legal Assistant Nicole has a caring, positive and energetic nature, making her a perfect fit for the KLM team. Having previously worked in the Aviation industry, she is a problem solver, attentive listener and excellent communicator. She thrives in our fast-paced working environment and enjoys being part of the dynamic and supportive team at KLM Solicitors Nundah office.
Kylie Stekiewicz
Legal Assistant
Kylie has embarked on a recent career change after working with children and in management roles for the past 17 years. This previous work experience has given her the ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.  Kylie was inspired to pursue a career in the legal field to feed her soul, utilise her excellent communication skills and interact with a diverse range of people in the community.  She is motivated and driven to make an impact by simplifying the legal aid process for clients.
