Kelli Martin is a talented and respected solicitor, business leader and social justice advocate. She has worked predominantly in family and criminal law after being admitted as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia in 2008. Kelli founded KLM Solicitors in 2015 with a vision for a contemporary, client-focused law firm. She is also a member of the not-for-profit Red Rose Foundation and actively works to end domestic and family violence. Kelli and her team regularly undertake community legal work, including Legal Aid. In 2020 she was named Partner of the Year – SME at Lawyers Weekly’s Women in Law Awards and also won the ‘Business Achiever’ Award in the Greater Brisbane Women in Business Awards. Outside of her enormously rewarding and busy work life, Kelli raises her two young children.
Shaun joined the KLM Team with more than seven years’ experience practising in family law, domestic violence, child protection law and criminal law. Shaun was admitted in 2014 as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. He honed his legal skills working in the major south-east Queensland regional cities of Ipswich and Toowoomba. With a deep passion for justice, Shaun provides trusted guidance in achieving fair and just outcomes for his clients. Having now been promoted to Partner - Family Law, Shaun works across KLM Solicitors Brisbane CBD, Nundah and Cleveland offices.
Jane specialises in criminal law and is an accredited Children’s and Adult Duty Lawyer in the Brisbane Magistrates Court. After joining the KLM Solicitors in August 2017, Jane’s skills, passion and dedication were recognised with her promotion to Senior Associate in early 2020. Alongside criminal justice, Jane is passionate about mental health care and child protection matters. Jane considers her work in these areas imperative as she can give voice to those often unheard in the justice system. She works across our Brisbane CBD, Nundah and Cleveland Offices.
Rachel began her legal career in 2016, after graduating from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and a Bachelor of Business (Accounting). Prior to joining the KLM team in January 2020, Rachel worked in family law at a commercial litigation firm and city-based law firm. Rachel believes that the family culture and work-life balance that is encouraged at KLM Solicitors truly sets the company apart from other legal firms. Rachel’s passion for social justice and compassionate nature means she supports her clients every step of the way and assists them to navigate their way through challenging times. After establishing a carer in another profession for two decades, Candice began her legal journey in 2017 and graduated from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Her leadership skills, personable nature, and ability to converse with people from all walks of life makes her the perfect fit for her role as Senior Associate. Specialising in family law, Candice’s strong advocacy for clients and exceptional interpersonal communication skills is matched by her dedication and drive to deliver fair and just outcomes. Alongside family law, Candice is passionate about social justice issues and giving back to the community through volunteering at community legal service organisations. Prior to joining the KLM team in January 2022, Candice worked as a solicitor in family law for three years. Olivia has been with KLM Solicitors since 2018, working in the criminal law team at our Nundah office. Rebecca embarked upon a career change after being a primary school teacher for six years.
